We present a tool that pretends to make easier to the companies promote their products and services. We’ll open a channel comunication between users and companies through Twitter @140promote.

The user’ll send to the company a tweet with his preferences, and our system catch, process and evaluate that tweet. Finally we’ll send a tweet to the user with a product or services from the company that he has required for.

Let’s show you an example:

A user want to rent a car, he send  a tweet to @rentcar with his preferences “@rentcar #familycar in #barcelona for #summer and cost #lowerthan30euros per day”.

140Promote recognize the tweet and know that he have the company that is named, and also he know that company have two cars in barcelona availables for that time and the price  indicated by the user.

After that, 140Promote will send a tweet with a link with those two cars to the user.

As you can read in the example, the users only have to say their needs. In other hand, the companies, only have to indicate us, using the 140Promote web page, their products and services. And 140Promote are responsible for connecting users and products. It’s a very simple mechanism, and very usefull for two  kind of users of the system.

Hoy me ha ocurrido una cosa que me ha dejado totalmente sorprendido. Resulta que hoy es muy cumpleaños, y he visto como el número de felicitaciones que he recibido se han disparado.

Normalmente cada año he recibido entre 5 y 8 felicitaciones, ya sean por e-mail o mensaje de móvil…este año he recibido nada menos que 40 por diferentes herramientas sociales!! , siendo la mayoría de ellas por Facebook, no es que me haya convertido de repente en un tipo popular, por que sigo manteniendo más o menos el mismo circulo de amigos que hace un año, pero está claro que Facebook ha tenido mucho que ver.

Supongo que alguna de las razones es que dejas tu felicitación y ya has cumplido, otra que no tienes la escusa de decir que se te ha olvidado por que en muchas redes sociales ya te avisan cuando es el cumpleaños, y otra sencillamente es la presión de grupo, ves que todo el mundo que conoces felicita a ese conocido y por tanto sabrán que tu no lo has hecho…el típico qué dirán.

Esas pueden ser algunas de las causas por las cuales han aumentado tanto el número de felicitaciones, pero lo que está claro es que este tipo de herramientas tiene un claro efecto amplificador con respecto a los sucesos que pasan en la vida de una persona y la repercusión mediática que influye sobre su círculo de conocidos.

Se me ocurren muchas cosas a comentar sobre esto…pero creo que lo dejaré para otros posibles posts :). Por cierto, gracias a todos los que me felicitaron!!
